Per Oxford Dictionary’s blog this pictograph is “officially called the ‘Face with Tears of Joy’ emoji.” It “was chosen as the ‘word’ that best reflected the ethos, mood, and preoccupations of 2015.” Kind of cool for the history of writing and even cooler as a commentary on the past year. I wish everyone even happier stories in 2016.
